What is anxiety and how does it affect your life?
Anxiety is the unexpected change that occurs after a series of situations that limit life, leading it to chaos.
Slowly, a worry, a truth is revealed: loneliness, fear of the future, a feeling of emptiness, the inability to find a path that harmonizes existence, desolation in the face of past events. The mind enters a state of anxiety, monologues, or voices in the head that never stop. Insomnia makes its terrible appearance, destroying the tranquility of the night. Again and again, the questions arise: Why is this happening to me?
Internal Conflict: The Origin of Anguish
Nothing happens for no reason. In your mind, there is the reason that produces the changes you are experiencing. Some act in your life has been the seed that now becomes the fruit of your worries, and the anguish you feel is not because of what you have done, but because of the fear of what is to come. This is when two ghosts are born in your mind.
Fatalism and catastrophism. All one can imagine is a disastrous and terrible future. Everything blurs into a black panorama of destruction and chaos. It's the terrible vision of tomorrow.
Despair and the Search for Answers
They seek answers that don't exist. They seek help that neither replaces nor provides peace. Everyone speaks, suggests, recommends. But the words resonate, there is no peace or hope in the darkness of their soul. They only wish to avoid what they are experiencing.
And that's how it is. No one can enter your mental plane and stop the cascade of thoughts that flood your mind. Ultimately, you are the only one who knows what's going on inside you and the causes of what's happening. No one can help you with that. But there are solutions.
Learning to Accept Anguish
And so it is. Your anguish is the release of your pent-up energy, an inner cleansing that confronts you with your reality. Don't avoid it; on the contrary, embrace it; it's the scorned feeling that is showing you a cruel reality— your reality! If it weren't for that terrible feeling, you wouldn't be thinking about changing your life.
If you look closely, what you're experiencing isn't meant to destroy you, but to make you understand that you must rethink your life decisions. Anguish is your soul's cry for help, urging you to redirect your attitude, your actions, your outlook on life. And most importantly, begin to look for real solutions to real problems, not fictitious ones to get by.
How to Turn Anguish into Strength
Anxiety confronts you with your inner strength to overcome it, but instead of fighting it off, take some time alone and listen to it.
If you do, in a few days you will thank anxiety for showing you, in time, that you were taking the wrong path.
Resilience: The Warrior's Test
It is in anguish that you truly test yourself. Where you discover the power to move forward, overcoming difficult situations, which are, in themselves, the testing ground for great warriors.
